Welke route heb jij?
Er is niet één inburgeringsexamen. Sinds 1 januari 2022 zijn er drie routes.
B1-route
Voor de meeste mensen die na 1 januari 2022 inburgeringsplichtig zijn geworden. Je doet examen op B1-niveau: vier taalonderdelen (lezen, luisteren, spreken, schrijven) plus KNM en de PVT. Als B1 na 600 uur les niet haalbaar is, kan de gemeente A2 toestaan.
Onderwijsroute
Voor jongere leerders die doorstromen naar mbo, hbo of universiteit. Taalexamens op B1 of B2. De gemeente bepaalt samen met jou wat er in je PIP staat.
Z-route
Als B1 echt niet haalbaar is. Les op A1-niveau, A2-examen optioneel. Je sluit af met een gesprek bij de gemeente en een certificaat.
Weet je niet welke route je hebt? DUO stuurt een brief. Je route staat in je PIP van de gemeente. Heb je nog geen PIP? Vraag je gemeente. Je hebt recht op een gratis inburgeringsconsult.

Vier taalonderdelen, elk apart beoordeeld. Zak je voor één onderdeel? Dan doe je alleen dat ene opnieuw.
Lezen
110 minTeksten lezen en vragen beantwoorden op de computer.
Luisteren
90 minElk fragment hoor je maar één keer. Niet terugspoelen.
Spreken
25 minJe spreekt antwoorden in via een microfoon op de computer.
Schrijven
100 minOp papier, niet op de computer. Oefen met de hand schrijven.
KNM
45 minKennis van de Nederlandse Samenleving. Videofilmpjes met meerkeuzevragen.
Kosten: €50 per onderdeel. Vier taalonderdelen: €200. Met KNM erbij: €250 totaal. Inschrijven via mijn.inburgeren.nl of duo.nl. Wachttijd voor een examenplaats: 4 tot 8 weken.

KNM: Kennis van de Nederlandse Samenleving
Een apart computerexamen van 40-45 minuten. Je kijkt korte videofilmpjes en beantwoordt daarna een meerkeuzevraag. Slaaggrens: 60%.
Arbeidscontract, uitkeringen, rechten als werknemer
Huren, kopen, rechten als huurder, woningcorporaties
Huisarts, ziekenhuis, zorgverzekering
Schoolsysteem, leerplicht, soorten scholen
Gemeente, provincie, Tweede Kamer, verkiezingen

PVT: Participatieverklaringstraject
Geen examen. Een verplichte cursus van 12-15 uur, gevolgd door het tekenen van de participatieverklaring.
- Je volgt de cursus via de gemeente. De gemeente betaalt de kosten.
- Onderwerpen: vrijheid, gelijkheid, solidariteit, jouw rechten en plichten.
- Aan het einde teken je de participatieverklaring. Die handtekening heb je nodig voor naturalisatie.
- Er is geen slaag of zak. Je tekent of je tekent niet.
- Plan dit vroeg. Veel mensen vergeten de PVT en lopen er tegenaan vlak voor hun deadline.

Wat is het verschil tussen de B1-route en het Staatsexamen NT2?
De B1-route is de wettelijke inburgeringsroute via je gemeente. Het Staatsexamen NT2 is een apart examen dat bredere erkenning geeft, zoals voor werk of studie. Beide toetsen op B1-niveau, maar het Staatsexamen NT2 is handig als je later wilt doorstuderen of een diploma nodig hebt voor je werk.
Hoelang heb ik om in te burgeren?
Officieel 3 jaar. Maar begin vroeg: wachttijden voor examenplekken lopen op tot 4-8 weken, en je kunt vertragingen niet altijd voorzien. Hoe eerder je start met oefenen, hoe meer ruimte je hebt.
Wat kost het examen?
€50 per onderdeel. Vier taalonderdelen samen: €200. Met KNM erbij: €250 in totaal. Zak je voor één onderdeel? Dan betaal je €50 voor de herkansing van alleen dat onderdeel.
Kan ik een onderdeel overdoen als ik zak?
Ja. Je doet alleen het gezakte onderdeel opnieuw. Onderdelen die je al gehaald hebt blijven staan. Kosten: €50 per poging.
Wat is de PVT precies?
De PVT (Participatieverklaringstraject) is geen examen maar een verplichte cursus van 12-15 uur over Nederlandse waarden. Aan het einde teken je de participatieverklaring. De gemeente regelt dit en betaalt de kosten. Je hebt de handtekening nodig voor naturalisatie.
Is dit iets voor mij als ik op A2-niveau zit?
Ja. De groepssessie die ik bouw is precies voor mensen die van A2 naar B1 gaan. Je begrijpt al veel maar spreken op B1-niveau vraagt oefening. Daar werken we elke week aan.

Which route do you have?
There is not one single integration exam. Since 1 January 2022 there are three routes.
B1-route
For most people who became obligated to integrate after 1 January 2022. You take the exam at B1 level: four language components (reading, listening, speaking, writing) plus KNM and PVT. If B1 is not reachable after 600 hours of lessons, the municipality may allow A2.
Education route
For younger learners heading toward vocational training or higher education (mbo, hbo, university). Exam at B1 or B2. Your municipality decides what goes in your PIP.
Z-route
If B1 is genuinely not achievable. Lessons at A1 level, A2 exam optional. You finish with a certificate and a conversation at the municipality.

Not an exam. A mandatory course of 12-15 hours, ending with you signing the participation declaration.
- You follow the course through the municipality. The municipality covers the cost.
- Topics: freedom, equality, solidarity, your rights and responsibilities.
- At the end you sign the participation declaration. You need this signature for naturalization.
- There is no pass or fail. You sign or you do not sign.
- Schedule this early. Many people forget the PVT and run into problems close to their deadline.

What is the difference between the B1-route and the State Exam NT2?
The B1-route is the legal integration route through your municipality. The State Exam NT2 is a separate exam with broader recognition, for example for work or study. Both test at B1 level, but the State Exam NT2 is useful if you want to study further or need a diploma for your job.
How long do I have to complete integration?
Officially 3 years. But start early: waiting times for exam slots can be 4-8 weeks and delays are hard to predict. The earlier you start practicing, the more flexibility you have.
What does the exam cost?
EUR 50 per component. Four language components together: EUR 200. Including KNM: EUR 250 in total. If you fail one component, you pay EUR 50 to retake only that one.
Can I retake a component if I fail?
Yes. You only retake the component you failed. Components you already passed remain valid. Cost: EUR 50 per attempt.
What exactly is the PVT?
The PVT (Participatieverklaringstraject) is not an exam but a mandatory course of 12-15 hours about Dutch values. At the end you sign the participation declaration. The municipality arranges this and covers the cost. You need the signature for naturalization.
Is this for me if I am at A2 level?

Cual es tu ruta?
No hay un solo examen de integracion. Desde el 1 de enero de 2022 existen tres rutas.
Ruta B1
Para la mayoria de las personas que se volvieron obligadas a integrarse despues del 1 de enero de 2022. El examen es a nivel B1: cuatro componentes de idioma (lectura, escucha, hablar, escritura) mas KNM y PVT. Si B1 no es alcanzable despues de 600 horas, el municipio puede permitir A2.
Ruta educativa
Para jovenes que van hacia formacion profesional o educacion superior. Examen a nivel B1 o B2. El municipio decide el contenido de tu PIP.
Z-route
Si B1 no es alcanzable. Clases a nivel A1, examen A2 opcional. Terminas con un certificado y una conversacion en el municipio.
No sabes que ruta tienes? DUO te envia una carta. Tu ruta esta en tu PIP del municipio. Sin PIP aun? Contacta tu municipio. Tienes derecho a una consulta gratuita.

No es un examen. Es un curso obligatorio de 12-15 horas que termina con la firma de la declaracion de participacion.
- Realizas el curso a traves del municipio. El municipio cubre el costo.
- Temas: libertad, igualdad, solidaridad, tus derechos y responsabilidades.
- Al final firmas la declaracion de participacion. Necesitas esa firma para la naturalizacion.
- No hay aprobado ni reprobado. Firmas o no firmas.
- Programalo temprano. Muchas personas olvidan el PVT y se encuentran con problemas cerca de su fecha limite.

Cual es la diferencia entre la ruta B1 y el Examen Estatal NT2?
La ruta B1 es la ruta legal de integracion a traves de tu municipio. El Examen Estatal NT2 es un examen separado con mayor reconocimiento, por ejemplo para trabajo o estudios. Ambos evaluan a nivel B1, pero el Examen Estatal NT2 es util si quieres seguir estudiando o necesitas un diploma para tu trabajo.
Cuanto tiempo tengo para completar la integracion?
Oficialmente 3 anos. Pero empieza temprano: los tiempos de espera para plazas de examen pueden ser de 4 a 8 semanas y los retrasos son dificiles de prever. Cuanto antes empieces a practicar, mas flexibilidad tendras.
Cuanto cuesta el examen?
EUR 50 por componente. Cuatro componentes de idioma: EUR 200. Con KNM: EUR 250 en total. Si repruebas un componente, pagas EUR 50 para repetir solo ese.
Puedo repetir un componente si lo repruebo?

Si. La sesion grupal que estoy construyendo es exactamente para personas que van de A2 a B1. Ya entiendes mucho, pero hablar a nivel B1 requiere practica. En eso trabajamos cada semana.
