Speaking Skills Self-Checklist — notebook and pen for reflection

Speaking Skills Self-Checklist

If you want to improve your English speaking, tracking your progress is key. This checklist focuses on 5 simple areas so you know what’s strong and what to improve. Use it after any speaking activity — in class, online, or during a live stream.

1. Why Use This Checklist

Quick reflection builds better speaking. Check yourself on each area, then choose one focus for next time.

2. Your Speaking Skills Checklist

Clarity

Are your words easy to understand? (Check pronunciation & enunciation.)

Fluency

Are you speaking smoothly without long pauses or “uh/um”?

Accuracy

Are grammar and word forms correct?

Vocabulary

Are you using a range of words, not just basic ones?

Confidence

Do you sound natural and sure of what you’re saying?

Your score: 0/25 Average: 0.0

Focus next: pick one area below

Note: This is a quick self-check for reflection only (no data is saved).

3. How to Use It

  • After speaking, rate yourself on each point from 1–5 (1 = needs improvement, 5 = excellent).
  • Choose one point to focus on next time — don’t fix everything at once.
  • Over time, aim to raise each score by 1 point.
